About this puja

A melodious recitation of the Sundarkand from Goswami Tulsidas's Shri Ramcharitmanas, narrating Hanuman ji's journey to Lanka in search of Mata Sita. It begins with Hanuman puja and ends with Hanuman Chalisa and aarti.

Why it is performed

Sundarkand is recited to overcome fear and obstacles, to gain strength and confidence, and before new undertakings. It is especially popular on Tuesdays and Saturdays and brings an atmosphere of joy and bhakti to the home.
